Megan was born in Oconomowoc on December 4, 1978, the daughter of Nancy (Stephan) and William "Bill" Kennedy. She graduated from Dodgeland High School in 1997 and later graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. On February 24, 2012, she married the love of her life, Kevin Lukas, in Baraboo. She enjoyed working as the Senior Processing Specialist at BizFilings for 15 years. A lover of the outdoors, Megan liked hunting, swimming, and was a huge sports fan, cheering on the Packers and especially the Brewers. She was an excellent housekeeper and wife to Kevin as well, often being touted as the best thing to happen to him. Beautiful inside and out, Megan was absolutely selfless and honest, and she loved taking care of animals. Her kind and generous soul will be greatly missed.

Megan is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Lukas of Reedsburg; her mother, Nancy (Barry) Richards of Reeseville; her in-laws, Chuck and Cathy Lukas of Appleton; brothers, Bill (Traci) Kennedy of Randolph, Brian Kennedy of Reedsburg, and Jared Kennedy of Beaver Dam; sister-in-law, Jen (Tracy) Schwartz of Appleton; nieces, McKenzie and Riley; nephew, Matthew; and further survived by numerous other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bill in 2014; maternal and paternal grandparents; and other relatives.
