Michael E. Asmus, age 52 of Mosinee, died unexpectedly on February 15, 2010 at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau. Michael was born on October 23, 1957 in Port Washington to Roland and Helen (nee Lenz) Asmus. He attended Hustisford High School and later worked in Wautoma and most recently as a machinist at Lemke Industrial Management in Marathon. Michael had several hobbies including; paint-ball, camping, four-wheeling, fishing and wood working. He will always be remembered as a jokester, especially with family. Michael loved animals and always had a special place in his heart for his dalmatian, Toby.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters; Sandra (Roger) Kahlhammer of Neshkoro, Patricia (Gordon) Buchholz of Mayville, Nancy Asmus and Lynn Asmus both of Waupun and Anthony Asmus of Arpin, WI. Michael is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, two great-nephews and other relatives.

A Memorial Gathering for Michael will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Graceland Cemetery in Mayville.
