Michael was born on December 11, 1953 in Elgin, IL to William and Elaine (nee Jepson) Reese. Mike graduated from Elgin High School and worked as a painter for MetalCraft in Mayville for 19 years. He was united in marriage to Judith M. Bartell on February 23, 2001 in Las Vegas, NV. Mike enjoyed sports, played baseball as a child and was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. He also liked going camping and bass fishing.

Mike is survived by his wife, Judith Reese of Fox Lake; two step-children, Jennifer (Dennis Nell) Hoefs and Richard (Jichelle Gaulthier) Knorr, both of Beaver Dam; three step-grandchildren, Kayla Hoefs, Katie Hoefs and Chloe Knorr, all of Beaver Dam; his mother, Elaine Reese of Las Vegas; his sister, Maureen Atencio of Las Vegas; two brothers, Larry Reese of Brillion, WI and Patrick Reese of Elgin, IL; and his pug, Max. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, William Reese, his sister-in-law, Caroline Reese, his grandparents, aunts and uncles.

A Memorial Service for Mike will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd, Beaver Dam with Rev. Bob Castro officiating. A Memorial Gathering will take prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 3:30 p.m.
