Minnie Frens

Wilhelmina “Minnie” Frens, 108, of Waupun, died June 17, 2018 at the Christian Home & Rehabilitation Center in Waupun.

Minnie was born November 18, 1909 in the town of Waupun, the daughter of Walter and Katherine Haima Harmsen. On February 3, 1927 she married Sidney H. Frens in Waupun. Minnie was a member of the Netherlands Reformed Congregation in Waupun.

Minnie is survived by her son, Henry (Jacoba) Frens of Waupun; 2 daughters: Kathryn (Calvin) Giebink of Waupun and Marion (Adrianus) Fintelman of Grand Rapids, MI; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren.

Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney on March 31, 1990; an infant grandson; four brothers; and six sisters.



Friends and relatives may call on the family on Thursday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service.


Funeral services for Minnie Frens will be held Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. H. Hofman officiating.



Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.
