Morris "Morry" Page, age 83 of Beaver Dam, entered into Jesus' arms on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Morry was born on August 27, 1924 in Campbellsville, Kentucky to Eugene and Bertha (nee Wood) Page. He left high school at the age of 16 and went to basic training at the age of 17. He honorably served his country during World War II in the United States Navy and had the very unique and documented distinction, of serving in 5 of 6 Theater's of War in both the Atlantic and Pacific. Some of his achievements include serving on 5 different ships, his favorite being the U.S.S. Thomas Jefferson, saving the lives of fellow soldiers during the invasion of Normandy, France from June 5-7, 1944, and numerous other awards throughout his journeys. After returning home from World War II, Morry married Luella Helmer on May 7, 1948 at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Morry and Luella were blessed with 6 daughters and he spent over 43 years working for Wisconsin Power and Light as a Lineman. Another achievement he and his family were very proud of was Morry received his Honorary High School Diploma, over 60 years after leaving High School to serve his country. He was a member of John E. Miller American Legion Post #146 in Beaver Dam and the V.F.W. in Beaver Dam. Morry was a loving husband, father and grandfather and the time he spent with his family he cherished greatly. He loved to sit on the front porch and visit with neighbors and friends while smoking a cigar. He enjoyed family corn roasts, golf, working on various carpentry projects and he loved to read.

Morry is survived by his loving wife of over 59 years, Luella Page of Beaver Dam, 6 daughters, Linda Page, Patricia (Duane) Zabel, Barbara (Armand) Franke, Lynn VanderWerff, Susan Biel all of Beaver Dam, and Penni (Peter) Page Asmann of Waukesha, 9 Grandchildren: Kristina, Sarah, David, Lindsay, Joe, Benjamin, Brent, Vincent and Brett, one Great-Granddaughter, Aubry Anne, his twin-sister, Marie Page Winter of Columbus and his special friend Libby. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Morry is preceded in death by his parents, 3 Sisters, 1 Brother and a Brother-In-Law, Edgar Winter.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Twelve o'clock p.m. (NOON) at First Ev. Lutheran Church, 311 W. Mackie St. in Beaver Dam with with Rev. Dr. Mark Molldrem officiating. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 from 4-6p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam with members of John E. Miller American Legion Post #146 invited to meet at the funeral home at 5:00p.m. on Wednesday to pay their respects. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, April 3, 2008 from 11:00a.m. until the time of Service at Twelve o'clock p.m.(NOON) at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Burial will take place at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in the Village of Doylestown with graveside military honors provided by John E. Miller American Legion Post #146 of Beaver Dam. As Morry's World War II tattoo reads, Morry Page is at peace and "Homeward Bound".
