Myron Miller

Myron Miller, 71, of Waupun, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024 at Crossroads Care Center in Fond du Lac. 

Myron was born December 20, 1952 in Illinois to Roland and Beverly Straw Miller. On Myron’s 18th birthday he decided to join the U.S. Army where he was a mechanic and a truck driver. He served in Germany for 3 years. On April 10, 1976 he married Kathi Zickert. The couple lived in Waupun until Kathi’s untimely passing in 1988. Myron raised their children along with the family while he was a truck driver with several companies and hauled a variety of things. He was with Alliance in Ripon for 27 years, and retired in 2018. During all his long hours he found the second love of his life, Tracy Schmidt and they were married June 10, 2000. Myron loved to smoke meat, tinker in the garage, go fishing, watch movies, and play board or card games. 

Myron is survived by his wife of 23 years,Tracy; three daughters; Melissa (Gregg) Loomans, Kaitlyn (Jamie) Officer, and Melissa (Mike) Blaser; five grandchildren: Abigail Engel, Bennett Loomans, Danika Blaser, and Charles and Ellie Officer; two brothers: Mark (Janice) Miller and Mike (Cindy) Miller; a sister, Bonnie Miller; five sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law, and nieces, and nephews.

Myron was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kathi Zickert; sisters: Mary Miller and Ruth Indermuehle; and sister-in-law, Dawn Rasmussen. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 at Go Dutch Solutions 328 S. Division St. Waupun from 5-8 p.m. Military honors will be provided. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to the family to help pay for funeral expenses.
