Nancy A. Korth, age 67, of Beaver Dam, died at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 11, 2009. Nancy was born in Beaver Dam on March 6, 1942 to Clifford and Blanche (nee Hussli) Ellis. She attended Beaver Dam High School and was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish. On July 25, 1959 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Korth at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. Nancy was an excellent housewife, where she enjoyed baking, canning vegetables and raising their three children. She also enjoyed going for rides around the area and going out to eat. She liked antiques and other collectables, and she treasured her extensive angel collection. She always looked forward to family holidays and cookouts. She was a wonderful wife and mother who dearly loved her family and poodles. She hoped to make it to her upcoming 50th wedding anniversary, but unfortunately her ailing health did not allow her to do so.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years, Ken; her children, Russell Korth of Beaver Dam, Linda (Michael) Pullam and Laurie (James) Schumann, both of Juneau; her sister, Sandra (Bob) Dittberner of Merrimac, WI; her three grandchildren, Jason Pullam, Melissa (Fred) Stancer, and Jesse Schumann; her two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Megan; and her beloved dog, Sassy. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and other relatives.
A Funeral Service for Nancy will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd, Beaver Dam at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Ed Cody officiating. Visitation will also be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. A luncheon will take place following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
