Obituary

Naomi L. McKinney, age 91 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Arcadia Assisted Living in Beaver Dam.

Naomi was born on January 14, 1922 to Corbett Wesley and Katie Louise (nee Marshall) Bennett in Oswego, IL. On September 27, 1939 she married the love of her life, Rev. Harry McKinney in Aurora, IL. Naomi loved being a pastor's wife and all the responsibilities that came with it. From being a hostess at their house for deacon meetings, to helping her husband with the Bible Baptist Church, she loved it all.

Naomi was a very outgoing woman and loved to fish and golf. She was an amazing homemaker, always keeping a spotless house. Naomi enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and watching old Western movies.

She loved her faithful companion Buttercup, who was by her side when she passed. But on top of all she did, she absolutely loved her family most in life.

Naomi is survived by her four loving children, Bunny (Paul) Phillips of Mt. Vernon, IL, Jeffrey (Dotty) McKinney of Peru, IL, Susan (Don) Frolik of Rice Lake, WI, and Candace (David) Patzlsberger of Beaver Dam; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild due this month; and many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rev. Harry McKinney in 2003; daughter, Sandra Johnson; great-grandson, Anthony Frolik; twin great-granddaughters; sisters, Ardath Turner, Joyce Schmidt and Gretta Jean; brothers, Marshall, Ival, Charles, Harlend, and Corbett Wesley Bennett Jr.
