Norbert R. Matuszeski, age 88 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
Norbert was born on the family farm in the Town of Westford on December 7, 1937, the son of John and Josephine (Mann) Matuszeski. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves. On September 12, 1964, he was united in marriage to his wife, Lois Guenther at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. He spent his early adulthood farming in the area from 1964 until 1968, when he started working for Nubs Tab in Beaver Dam. He worked there until he bought his farm in 1970, where he remained for 50 years until moving to town. He also worked at John Deere from 1973 until 1998. In his younger years, he enjoyed snowmobiling, bowling, and hunting. More recently, his passion became antique tractors. He also loved going out to eat, meeting new people, and socializing. Norbert was a devoted family man, taking pride in taking care of his family and being the glue holding them all together.
Norbert is survived by his wife, Lois Matuszeski of Beaver Dam; son, Lee Matuszeski of Beaver Dam; sister, Lucille Loney of Texas; brother-in-law, Roger Guenther of Beaver Dam; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Mike) Gold of Austin, Texas, and Suzanne Guenther of Beaver Dam; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Carlan (Nancy) Matuszeski, Alan (Madelyn) Matuszeski, and Walter Matuszeski; sister, Marjorie (Ralph) Schmitt; mother- and father-in-law, Florence and Harley Guenther; sisters-in-law, Judy Guenther and Linda Wolc; nephew, Carl Matuszeski; niece, Marilyn Loney; and other relatives.
Visitation for Norbert will take place on Friday, August 7, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services in Beaver Dam from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam. The family asks that everyone come dressed casually and comfortably.
