Oliver "Red" R. Wright, age 98 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Grancare in Fond du Lac, WI.

Oliver was born on August 10, 1913 in Chicago, IL to Arlando and Ida (nee Huebner) Wright. On December 6, 1936 he was united in marriage to Verona Braatz at Salem Ev. Lutheran Church in Lowell, WI. Oliver was a dairy farmer and also worked at Kirsch Foundry in Beaver Dam. He enjoyed playing cards and tinkering on projects in his garage. He was a member of Salem Ev. Lutheran Church in Lowell, WI.

Oliver is survived by his four children, Ruth Weyer of Fond du Lac, Jean Ross of Neenah, Norman (Charlene) Wright of Mainville, OH and Glen (Mary) Wright of Brownsville, WI; 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; his sister, Bernice Beerbohn of Watertown; his sister-in-law, Cheryl Braatz of Arizona and his brother-in-law, Eugene Hahn of Reeseville. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Verona on May 7, 2010; two sons, Lloyd and Jerrold; son-in-law, Raymond Weyer; sister, Irma Kiernow; three brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law and other relatives.

A Funeral Service for Oliver will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at noon at Salem Ev. Lutheran Church, 105 Juneau Rd, Lowell, WI with Rev. Paul Vander Galien officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at church, followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens, Town of Trenton.
