Pamela J. Kratz

Pamela J. Kratz, age 61, died peacefully on Friday, February 27, 2026 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac under the tender care of SSM Hospice Hope.

Pam was born on Dec. 14, 1964 in Ripon the daughter of Kermit Lyal and Beverly Jean (Bielke) Hutzler. She attended parochial and public schools in Portage. While growing up, Pam loved to go roller skating with her friends and that is where she met Gary. Pam was united in marriage to Gary Gordon Kratz on Sept. 18, 1982. She held various jobs over the years which included as a CNA for Divine Savior Hospital, Heidel House in Green Lake, and many years being a stay at home mom raising her family. Most recently, Pam was employed with Sigma for many years until recently, in October of 2025, her ill health prevented her from working. Pam and Gary’s marriage ended in a divorce but Pam was fortunate to find love again with a man on a mission, Rich A. Prill, whom treated Pam as a princess and took in her family as his own. Pam loved to go thrift shopping, buying anything that was a great deal and would give items to family and friends if they wanted it or fit into it. Pam was adventurous and loved to go hiking. You knew she had no fear when looking at vacation pictures of her standing on the very edge of cliff. Her free time however, was spent being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family was the center of her life and she was theirs.

Pam will be sadly missed and mourned by her children, Brandi (Jake) Koepke of Markesan, Aaron (Jessica) Kratz of Glidden, WI, Chad Kratz of Dalton, Chasity Kratz (Fred Polsfuss) of Dalton and Shanda (Justin) Briant of Dalton; 17 grandchildren, three great grandchildren; sister, Debbie (Jim) Krause of Grand Marsh; three sisters-in-law, Debbie Moreland, Kim Hutzler and Donna Hare; several other relatives and many friends.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Kevin: her ex-husband Gary and his parents, Frank (Fran) Kratz.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Werner Harmsen Funeral Home in Cambria on Saturday March 7, 2026 at 12 noon with Chaplin Evan Stark officiating. Relatives and friends may call on the family at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
