Obituary

Patricia C. Kuehl, age 71 of Sun Prairie, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at her winter home in Holiday, FL.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, companion, sister and friend to many.

Pat was born on January 10, 1941 in Beaver Dam to Grace H. (Zweck) and William Patrick McTiernan. On August 16, 1958 she married Duane H. Kuehl and was blessed with 6 children. Throughout her life, Pat was a strong woman who provided for her family by being one of the first women welders in Beaver Dam. She began her welding career at Metalfab and lastly worked at John Deere. She made many, many, friends throughout her career, and often shared her cooking talents with her co-workers in the way of treats and goodies. In her spare time, you would most often find her in the kitchen cooking her next delicious creation. She loved trying new recipes and if you stopped by for coffee or a cocktail, you would see her in her apron and you never left hungry. She was fondly called "Ma Kuehl" as she always treated you like family. She loved entertaining and threw some of the best parties you would ever attend. Family Christmases were her pride and joy and she loved having her family and extended family all together.
When she wasn't cooking or entertaining, she enjoyed camping with her family & friends, crocheting baby blankets, decorating her home or just helping a friend in need. She often looked after her older friends by making sure they were never alone. In her younger years, she enjoyed trapshooting and was considered one of the top lady shooters. Her passion was raising English Bulldogs and she proudly opened her own "Kuehl's Bully Acres" which produced a champion bloodline. You would always find a bulldog by her side and she took great pride in providing many families with loving companions. She also loved wintering in Florida with her own loving companion, Ray Bryant, just sitting on the beach enjoying the sunshine. They had a love for each other that made her final years extremely happy.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Kim (Casey) Wells, Karri (Tim) Felton, Kristina (Kerry) Mahal, Kaye Kuehl, Koreen (Bart) Dowd, and her only son, Kenn Kuehl. She is further survived by her grandchildren & great grandchildren, Todd (Tammy) Sether & Kennedy and Rylan, Ben (Alicia) Sether & Hailey and Matthew, Brian (Kristin) Cook & Tori, Erika (Tim) Moen & Deegan, Kierra Mahal, Kyler Pierce, Bethany Dickman & JaVon Webster, Patti Dickman, and Karson Kuehl. Pat is also survived by her brother Michael (Sarah) McTiernan along with other relatives and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother Grace, her stepfathers Warren Krenz and Harvey Schroeder, the father of her children, Duane, her sister Kathleen (Kitty) Sobrilsky and a grandson Kolin Mahal.

A Memorial Gathering for Pat will take place on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd in Beaver Dam. A celebration of her life will be held in June at Pride of America Camp Resort.

A special thank you to Jeff & Candy Hron for being in the right place at our time of need.

In the end, it doesn't matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments that took your breath away.

Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services in Beaver Dam is honored to be serving the family.
