Patricia "Pat" Wucherer, 79, of Waupun, died Sunday evening, Dec. 18, 2011, at St. Agnes Hospital, in Fond du Lac.
Pat was born Oct. 28, 1932, in Madison, the daughter of Wesley and Alma Custer Jones.
She graduated from Madison Central High School; and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
She arrived in Waupun in 1955, in her 1937 Chevy, 4-door with a stick-shift.
Pat taught business education at Waupun High School for two years. She met her husband to be, Bill Wucherer, at Waupun High School. On June 8, 1957, she married Bill at Grace Episcopal Church on the square in Madison. Following two years of teaching, Pat stayed home and raised their three sons.
She was an active member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Waupun; Curves; and Rock River Country Club. Pat enjoyed playing cards.
Pat is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bill Wucherer of Waupun; three sons, Mike (Chris) Wucherer of Beaver Dam, Bob (Rosie) Wucherer of Brownsville, and Dan Wucherer of Waupun; two grandchildren, Michael Wucherer of Beaver Dam, and Jenni (Nicholas) Hmielewski of Waupun; five great-grandchildren, Timothy, Kaleb, Candace, Hope and Nicki.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, David Jones.
Services:
Memorial services for Pat Wucherer will be held Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at 11 a.m., at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Waupun, with Fr. Peter Bird officiating.
Visitation:
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m., at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun; and on Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorials:
Memorials may be directed to the Froedtert Cancer Center in Milwaukee.
The Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home of Waupun and staff are serving the family.
