Patricia Zollars

Patricia Ellen Zollars, nee Walter, 92, passed in peace on November 28, 2018 in Waupun, WI.

Patricia graduated from Freemont Ross High School and then from Maumee Valley Hospital Nursing Program in Toledo, OH where she received the Ann Houck Award for Best All-Round Student/Nurse. Her accomplishments were many. She served as the President of International Association of Enterostomal Therapy. Patricia helped to qualify and accredited teaching schools in Germany and London, established the International Association for Enterostomal Therapy in Milan, Italy, wrote a script for a nurse’s teaching video, and authored 3 booklets for teaching nurses and patients. Patricia enjoyed curling, golfing, playing cards, and skydiving.

Patricia is survived by her children: Stephen C. (Shirley) Zollars, Kimberly A. (Joseph) LiPuma, and Tamara L. (Dennis) Braaksma; grandchildren: Kyle (Kristin) Braaksma, and Derek (Nikki) Braaksma; great-grandson, Greyson; great-granddaughter, Winnie.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin B. Zollars, the love of her life.

Patricia’s family will meet for a celebration of her life at a later date.
