Obituary

Peggy Jo Strommen, age 73 of Burnett, passed away on June 24, 2025, at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

Peggy was born on December 4, 1951, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, to Sylvester and Margaret (Teeselink) Erdman. On June 28, 1969, she was united in marriage to Mark Strommen in Waukesha. Peggy worked at Shopko for 25 years before opening her own antique store, The Dusty Attic, which she ran in Beaver Dam for 15 years. She loved sharing her passion for antiquing with others and taking yearly trips to the World's Longest Yard Sale that stretched from Kentucky to Alabama.  Peggy also enjoyed cooking and baking, collecting many recipe books. She was an avid animal lover as well.  She could often be found at the racetrack, cheering on and supporting Rick at the races.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Mark Strommen; son, Rick (Kim) Strommen; grandchildren, Garrett Royal, Jason (Andrea) Royal; great-grandchildren, James and Dean; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws; sister, Sheryl Brown; and other relatives.

In honoring Peggy's wishes, private family services will be held.
