IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pete
Weber
August 21, 1964 – January 10, 2012
Pete was born on August 21, 1964 to Paul and Myrtle (nee Pritchard) Weber. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School and on June 18, 1988 he was united in marriage to Shelby Rueter at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. Pete enjoyed working at M.E.C. as a spot welder and cherished the relationships he had with the people. He enjoyed racing, camping, reading and traveling with his family. In some of his spare time he enjoyed hanging out with his brother John and also with his son Cody in the "shop". Pete was a history buff and would often share that with his children. He loved all kinds of music, but he was especially fond of the Beatles. He loved spending time with his family and had a special place in his heart for his niece, Jillian and nephew, Wyatt.
Pete was diagnosed with cancer right before the Indy 500 and he treated his journey with cancer as "Pete's 500". Through that journey he had a remarkable attitude and reminded himself and his family often that other people had it worse off than they did and he carried that attitude with him right up to the end. Pete fought cancer with honor, dignity and pride, valuable lessons that his family and friends will cherish and carry with them in their lives. He will be deeply missed.
Pete is survived by his wife, Shelby of Beaver Dam; his children, Katelyn (Kyle) Broome, Cody (Jaime Vander Woude) Weber both of Beaver Dam; his father, Paul Weber of Beaver Dam; brother, John Weber of Beaver Dam; brother and sister-in-laws, Penny Straseske of Horicon, Carrie (David) Slager, Terrie (Clayton) Braaksma, Cindy (John) White, Mindy (David) Wild, Jodi Kuss all of Beaver Dam, John (Sheila) Steen of Waupun and a special niece and nephew, Jillian and Wyatt Straseske. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Pete is preceded in death by his mother, father and mother-in-law and other relatives.
