Obituary
Phyllis Miszewski, of Fox Lake, lost her battle with cancer and passed away July 12, 2010 at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She has joined her father Vivian Duncan and sister Lois Knotwell in heaven and will live in eternity next to our dear Lord. Phyllis is survived by her husband and best friend, Gary Miszewski of Fox Lake; her mother, Esther Duncan of Lancaster, WI; also her sisters, Irene and husband Robert Beam of Dubuque, IA, and Bonnie De Remer and her fiance Jim "Bo" Bowgren of Fox Lake, IL; her brothers, Richard and wife Mary of Lancaster, WI, Larry and wife Mary of Lancaster, WI; her daughter, Karla Seeley of Madison; her son, Scott Seeley and wife Jane of Campbellsport; and her step daughters, Carolyn Fitzgerald of Milwaukee, Sandra and husband Larry Ratz of Watertown, Sheri and husband Richard Lathrop of Sussex. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Phyllis loved to play golf, was the vice president of the ladies club day and formed the "Wednesday Wonderers". She loved fishing in Canada with her husband Gary and brother in-law Dennis and wife Terri and enjoyed many pontoon boat rides on Fox Lake. She lived to celebrate life and did so with vigor by singing karaoke and bringing smiles to faces wherever she went. She supported many people who were/are battling cancer. She had a way of putting a smile on even a stranger's face. With a heart larger than her body, a smile taller than a building and eyes as blue as the ocean, she will be dearly missed by family and friends.
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd in Beaver Dam with Father Kenneth F. Smits officiating. A Memorial Gathering will also be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to the Hospice Home of Hope, 400 Hwy K in Fond du Lac, WI.
