Phyllis Harris Wagner, 93, of Waupun, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 at Marvin’s Manor in Waupun.
Phyllis was born January 24, 1924 in Chadwick, IL, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don C. Harris. Phyllis graduated from Chadwick High School, attended Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, IA, and later transferred to the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1946. After marriage she moved to Waupun where she resided the remainder of her life. She was a member of Union-Congregational Church in Waupun. Phyllis was a former member of the Waupun Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Rock River Country Club, and the Waupun Heritage Museum.
Phyllis is survived by three grandsons: William A. Wagner of Loveland, CO, Michael W. (Whitney) Wagner of Waupun, and Matthew L. Wagner of Waupun; a granddaughter, Christine A. Wagner of Fond du Lac; four great-granddaughters; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by an infant son; her parents; a brother, Ensign Evan C. Harris (aboard the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier Princeton in 1951); and two sons: Joseph Harris Wagner in 1996 and Timothy W. Wagner in 2017.
Following a brief private service, burial will take place in Illinois.
