Preston Tellier, age 58 of Beaver Dam, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 with family by his side at Hospice Care Inc. in Fitchburg.
Preston was born on January 4, 1952 to Edgar and Alta (nee Engh) Tellier in Medford, WI. He graduated from D.C. Everest High School and on October 15, 1977 he was united in marriage to Julie Roedl at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.
Preston worked as a baker for 25 years at several different establishments and also worked at Wisconsin Cheeseman in Sun Prairie for 15 years. He worked most recently at the north side Kwik Trip until his health no longer allowed in December of 2008. Preston had several hobbies including; fishing, grilling out, campfires, riding motorcycles, being outdoors, watching football and listening to Bob Uecker announce Milwaukee Brewer games on the radio. He always loved the "special" Sunday mornings he and Julie spent together. They would take scenic trips up the Wisconsin River to eventually reach their destination of Ho Chunk Casino and in the winter time, they would go ice-fishing to many different spots around Beaver Dam Lake. He also shot pool for the Eagles Club and shot in several Eagles State Pool Tournaments. Preston was a loving husband who truly was a fun person to be around and will always be remembered for his big heart.
Preston is survived by his wife; Julie Tellier of Beaver Dam, his dogs; Tar and Taffy, a sister; "Skip" Fisher of Ladysmith, father and mother-in-law; Leonard (Audrey) Roedl of Beaver Dam, sister and brother-in-laws; Lori (Daniel) Gonzales, Kathi (Mike) Scholz, Linda (Ken) McDougal and Paul (Kris) Roedl all of Beaver Dam. Preston is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and other relatives.
A Memorial Service for Preston will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam with Chaplain Linda O'Leary officiating. A Memorial Gathering will also be on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Service at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens in the Town of Trenton with a luncheon to follow at the funeral home.
