Regina "Reggie" R. Steffen, age 85, formerly of Juneau, died peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2010 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam. Regina was born on March 17, 1924 to Charles and Melinda (nee Ludtke) Neumann in the Town of Trenton. On September 30, 1945 she was united in marriage to Robert Steffen at St. John's Lutheran Church in the Town of Trenton. They lived in the town of Clyman until they moved to Hustisford in 1968. She was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Juneau. Reggie was a hard worker her entire life. She was an excellent baker, and she also enjoyed fishing, crocheting, listening to polka and waltz music and had a special love for roses.
Reggie is survived by her children, Kenneth (Marlene) Steffen of Juneau, Sandra (George) Lueder of Hustisford, and Bobbi (Jack) Starrett of Oshkosh; six grandchildren, Kristine Klodowski, Jeffrey Steffen, Amy (Mike) Sievert, Jennifer (Scott) Mellgren, Michelle (Mark) Olejniczak, and Andrea (Luke) Konrath; two step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Rueben (Ellie) Neumann and Lloyd (Orva) Neumann, both of Beaver Dam. She is further survived by her brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death her husband Robert, her parents, her brother Orvin, two sisters in infancy Ruth and Alice, one granddaughter and other relatives.
A Funeral Service for Reggie will be held on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 12:00 NOON at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Paul Schupmann officiating. Visitation will also be held on Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at noon. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Juneau City Cemetery in the city of Juneau. A memorial in Reggie's name will be established.
