Obituary
Rena Anna (nee Huisheere) Hesebeck, age 96 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Rena was born on August 11, 1916 in Ringle, WI to Peter and Valina (nee Ramaker) Huisheere. On March 9, 1935 she was united in marriage to John Luverne Hesebeck in Rockford, IL. They farmed most of their life in southern Wisconsin, in and around Delavan. For many years, she worked as a caregiver at the Lakeland County Home in Elkhorn, WI. Upon her retirement, she continued with home health care, always a nurse at heart. Her passion for nursing inspired seven of her daughters and granddaughters to enter the nursing profession. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Rena is survived by her six children, Clifford (Altine) Hesebeck of Beaver Dam, Beverly (Bill Milne) Rundle of Plymouth, IN, Phillip Hesebeck of Necedah, WI, Lori (Mike) Rutherford of Sierra Vista, AZ, Leon (Debbie) Hesebeck of Oakfield, WI, Lauren (Theresa) Hesebeck of Rice Lake, WI; twenty-seven grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Luverne Hesebeck and all nine of her siblings.
A Funeral Service for Rena will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam with Robert Eberhardt and Gwen Aarestad officiating. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Cornerstone from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. There will also be visitation on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone. A luncheon will immediately follow the service. Family and Friends are invited to the committal at Darien Cemetery in Darien, WI on Friday at 4:00 p.m.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Charleston House in Beaver Dam for the loving care shown to Rena during her three years there and to the staff at Hillside Manor for taking exceptional care of Rena during the last eleven months.
