Richard Arlen Dooley age 82 of Beaver Dam, WI formerly of Lowden, IA passed away on February 17th, 2023. Richard passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

Richard was born on December 17th, 1940, in Iowa City, IA to Alvin and Elsie Dooley. He was united in marriage to Dian Jackson on July 3, 1975, in Davenport, IA. Richard enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, bowling, working in the yard, reading the bible, and he was a member of Harvest Evangelical Free Church of Beaver Dam, WI. Richard retired from French and Hecht and then sold insurance for Ozark National Life Insurance. After retiring from that he spent his summers as a campground host at Scott County Park, Eldridge, IA.

Richard is survived by Dian Dooley wife of 47 years; daughters Michele Shilling (Lee) of Wilton, IA, Susan Dusenberry (Kenny) of Wilton, IA, Nicole Curley (Matt) of Lowden, IA, and Stacey Terlisner (Jeremy) of Beaver Dam, WI; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; brother Dan Dooley (Deb) of Bettendorf IA; foster sister Karen Allen of Davenport, IA.

Richard is preceded in death by parents Alvin and Elsie Dooley, sister Hazel Gast, and brother Terry.

A celebration of life for family and friends will be held on Saturday July 29, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the New City Park Pavillion in Clarence, IA.
