Richard "Dick" A. Farnsworth, age 83 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

A memorial gathering for Dick will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Dick was born on June 29, 1936 in Madison, the son of Vincent and Ruth (Pagel) Farnsworth. Raised in Deerfield, Dick experienced great athletic success throughout his years at Deerfield High School. A hard worker, Dick was self-employed in the trucking industry for many years. He was united in marriage to Dotty Lathrop on July 1, 2016. An avid sports enthusiast, Dick lived life to the fullest, was always on the go, and enjoyed unwinding after a long day with Crowne Royal.

Dick is survived by his wife, Dotty Lathrop of Beaver Dam; 8 children, Steven (Cheri) of Belgium, WI, Mark (Lisa) of Waterloo, Vince (Dana) of Jefferson, Teresa (Bob) Young of Wauwatosa, Trudy Amherdt of Wyoming, Tina Farnsworth of Jefferson, Toni (Ben) Korinski of Wyoming and Richie (Ana) of Milwaukee; 4 step-children, Tracy Bratten of Beaver Dam, Jim (Trisha) Bratten of Jefferson, John Miskimins of Randolph and Tiffany Miskimins of Beaver Dam; 27 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren with one more on the way; sisters, Marilyn (Ken) McFarlane of Lake Mills and Sandy (Don) Pruefer of Dundee; special dog, Daphney; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry Farnsworth and other relatives.
