Richard A. Robertson

Richard “Doc” Alan Robertson, age 79, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at UW Hospital in Madison.

Richard was born on July 8, 1946, in Madison, the son of Olive P. and Lois C. (Brimmer) Robertson. He grew up in Fish Creek, Wisconsin and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. On September 17, 2017, he was united in marriage to his wife, Vicki Lord, in Marquette, down by the waters of Lake Puckaway. Richard worked as a line worker at Carnation (Silgan) in Oconomowoc. He enjoyed playing solitaire, taking out the pontoon boat, and spending time by the water.

Richard is survived by his wife, Vicki Robertson; his children, Amber (Rick) Brumfield, Natalie Philippe, and Rochelle (Mike) Vavricka; his grandchildren, Tyler Brumfield, Cierra Brumfield, Alec Philippe, Aisha Philippe, and Maya Vavricka; siblings, Roger Robertson, Lenore Meitner, Shirley Kohl, Lois Jean (Richard) Wedeward, Jon (Jane) Robertson, and Lynn (Karen) Robertson; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Phyllis (John) Schneider, Rose (Ray) Fritch and Deanna Robertson; his brothers, Bob Robertson, Wilbur Robertson and Ray Robertson and; and other relatives.

In honoring his wishes, private family services will be held.
