Robert A. Linde, age 72, of Beaver Dam, died on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital after a battle with colon cancer.

Bob was born on February 19, 1936 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Beaver Dam to Albert and Rosella (nee Lenz) Linde. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School and worked for Beaver Gunite for many years. Bob was united in marriage to Marlene Nitschke in Beaver Dam. His five children were very important to him. He instilled strong values, character traits and standards that they learned to appreciate as they grew older. Much of this was done while he coached them in various sports, where he really focused on teaching them the fundamentals. In his older years, he enjoyed farming, and his passion was his Belgium horses. He also always liked helping everyone he could.

Bob is survived by his children, Jeff (Rosette Mosseri) Linde of Pompano Beach, FL, Mark Linde of Beaver Dam, Michael (Dana Szabo) Linde of Beaver Dam, Vicki (Richard) Lewis of Coral Springs, FL, and Julie (Steve) Rossa of Elm Grove, WI; his sister Jean (Harvey) Zimmer of Watertown; his brother Rodney Linde of Beaver Dam; his grandchildren Kristina and Cheyenne Linde, and Cole and Marly Rossa. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, many cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Marlene in 1986.

A Memorial Service for Bob will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m.
