Obituary
Robert A. Prisk, age 83 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
Robert was born on January 23, 1930 to Lee and Clarice (nee Le Cavalier) Prisk in Oak Park, IL. He served his country in the United States Army during Korea. On July 31, 1954, he was united in marriage to Gloria Esslinger at St. Jude Parish, formerly St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Oshkosh. Robert was a manager at Kolpin Manufacturing in Fox Lake and after retirement he was Bayshore Resident Site Manager. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and archery. He was very active with Boy Scout troops in Berlin and Beaver Dam. Robert was a member of Pumpkin Center Sportsman Club, Fox Lake Chamber of Commerce and an Honorary Member of the Knights of Columbus in Beaver Dam. He was a former member of St. Michael's Catholic Parish in Beaver Dam and currently a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Clyman and St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam.
Robert is survived by his wife Gloria of Beaver Dam; children, Stephen (Suzanne) Prisk, Raphael Prisk, Michael Prisk, Charles Prisk and Cynthia Matthews all of Beaver Dam; grandchildren, Angela (Doug) Martin, Erica (Gordon) Casey, Sarah Matthews, Zackary Prisk, Simon Huettner, Donald Matthews Jr., Daniel Matthews, Christopher Prisk, Ezra Prisk; great-grandchildren, Tyrus Kavonius, Malcom Bennett, Sequoia Kavonius, Keirra Castleberg and Arabelle Casey. He is further survived by a nephew David (Anna) Prisk of Santa Anna, CA and their family along with other relatives and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Arthur Prisk, brother-in-law, Daniel Esslinger and a sister-in-law Rose Esslinger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 714 Church St. in Clyman with Fr. Rick Wendell as Celebrant. Visitation for Robert will be on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam with a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also take place on Wednesday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Memorials may be directed towards Mass remembrances.
