Robert Carroll Jones of Beaver Dam, WI passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2025, surrounded by his family after battling COPD and Parkinsons for several years.

Bob will be remembered at a memorial gathering on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Cornerstone & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 p.m., followed by a celebration gathering at Morry's Bar.  For those who wish, the family encourages attendees to wear Badger red in honor of his love for the Wisconsin Badgers.

Robert (Bob) was born September 17, 1948, in Rhinelander, WI to Carroll and Reva Jones. Bob moved to Beaver Dam in high school where he excelled at sports, and met his one true love, Melody Jones. They wed on September 24, 1966, and were married for 58 years, until his passing. Soon after they wed, Bob and Melody started their family and eventually had four beautiful children whom he adored – Michelle, Bobby, Jennifer, and Melissa. Bob had a long and fruitful career delivering and selling beer, passing on his love for PBR to his daughters. He enjoyed playing softball, fishing, and hunting, especially with his brother, Pete, cheering on his kids and grandkids in sports and life, and going to Badger football games in Madison. After his wife and kids, his greatest loves were Big Foot, the Badgers, and Cooper – his Great Dane.

Bob lost his youngest daughter, Melissa, tragically in a drunk driving accident on July 3, 1999, and soon became a father figure and caregiver to his grandchildren Koby and Analiese. Though it was challenging to become a parent again after raising his four children, he loved them as his own and took immense pride in who they became as adults, as he did with all his grandchildren.

Bob was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was grateful for everything he had, always giving of himself and willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it, never complaining. Bob will be greatly and forever missed by his family; they will especially miss his silly jokes, laughter, and immensely kind and generous heart.

He is survived by his loving wife, Melody; his children: daughters, Michelle (Jason) Porter, Jennifer (Olivia) Jones and son, Robert (Pam) Jones; his grandchildren: Zachary (Allison) Alt, Chelsea Alt, Tanner (Sam) Brandsma, Koby (Cheyenne) Jones, Analiese (Sawyer) Jones, and Austin Jones; his great grandchildren: Edwin Alt, Lillian Alt, Finley Brandsma, and Ella Jones; his siblings: Pete (Donna) Jones, Patti (Kevin) Wilson, Leslie Girardin, Jim (Michele) Jones and Mark (Cheryl) Jones; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Reva Jones, sister, Candi Klemm, daughter, Melissa Jones; and other relatives.
