Robert H. Krinke, age 88 of Friesland, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, April 4, 2014 at home.

Robert was born on January 5, 1926 to Henry and Erna (nee Dallman) Krinke at a neighbor's home in rural Cambria. He was united in marriage to Doris Fralick on February 14, 1947. Robert was proud of his service in the United States Navy. He served aboard USS LST890 as a radio operator during World War II. He spent his life working at the canning factory and enjoyed farming with his son. He loved spending time with all of his grandchildren and polka dancing, where he and Doris met many dear friends.

He is survived his son, Dale (Diana) Krinke; daughter, Lisa (Thomas) Benish; grandchildren, Jeanna (Paul Jr.) Glass, Jennifer (Butch) Sauer, Julie (Tony) Cavazos, Jessica Krinke, Albert Benish; great-grandchildren, Charity (Clint), Ashley (Jim), Chelsea (Bill), Christian, Chastity, Caylee, Caralee (Luis), Cameron, Amorette (James), Alissa, Faith, Jeffrey, Miley, Jayla; great-great-grandchildren, Olivia, Launa, Chase, Hunter, Gunner; one sister, Vivian; one sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Doris on March 28, 2014; one sister, Evelyn; three sisters-in-law and six brothers-in-law.

A Funeral Service for Robert will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Friesland with Rev. John Unnasch officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Following the funeral service, Robert will be laid to rest next to Doris at Randolph Cemetery.
