Robert J. Guse, age 84 of Beaver Dam, passed away at home on Monday, January 8, 2024.

A memorial gathering for Robert will take place on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m.

Bob was born in Beaver Dam on February 1, 1939, the son of Herbert and Anna (Kuenzi) Guse. He grew up and lived his entire life in Beaver Dam where he loved the outdoors, especially spending time at nature preserves. One of his favorite places to visit was Horicon Marsh, where he would spend his time exploring, bird watching, and taking photos. He enjoyed traveling; he would often go for a drive using only his paper map, stopping at historical marks and other interesting sites. Attending area concerts was another one of Bob's favorite activities, and he enjoyed following the local band, Whiskey Flats. In his free time, he could be found tinkering with motors and was able to fix just about anything. He was also a member of many different bird, archeological, historical, trap, and various other clubs. Bob looked forward to family gatherings and cherished the times he attended his grand- and great-grandkid's events.

Bob is survived by his children, Craig (Peg) Guse, Tracy Hays, Robyn (Lance) Loeffelholz, Dawn (Shawn) Wood, and Denice (Curt) Mack; special children, Steven Bilke, Terry Bilke, Laurie Lunde, and Mary Jo Nesbitt; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Denis "Speed" (Sandy) Guse and Carol Dean; special person, Barbara Kasmiski; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Guse; sisters, Jean Patrick, Corinne Guse, and Donna Guse; significant other, Ethel Bilke; and other relatives.
