Robert L. Braemer, age 84 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Bob was born on February 14, 1929 in Chicago, IL to Arthur J. and Lenora (nee Long) Braemer. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army in Korea. On May 26, 1956, Bob was united in marriage to Bernice Sadowski in Milwaukee. Bob worked at Monarch Range in Beaver Dam, before retiring from MetalFab in Beaver Dam, where he worked for over 40 years. During retirement, he worked part-time at Fox Manufacturing in Fox Lake.
Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and woodworking. He was a member of John E. Miller American Legion Post #146. Together with Bernice, he also enjoyed traveling.
Bob is survived by his sisters-in-law, Marie (Joe) Wapneski and Darlene Zimmerman and his brothers-in-law, Phillip (Audrey) Sadowski and Charles (Sandy) Sadowski, all of Beaver Dam. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bernice in 2010, two brothers, two sisters and other relatives.
A Memorial Gathering for Bob will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam. American Legion Post #146 is invited for a walk-through and 1:00 p.m. at Cornerstone. Following the gathering, inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, Town of Trenton with military honors provided by American Legion Post #146.
