Robin K. Loomans

Robin K. Loomans passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026. 

Robin was born in Ann Arbor, MI on October 5, 1957 and spent many of her childhood years in Ann Arbor until moving to New Holstein, WI where she graduated from high school. She eventually settled down in Oshkosh,  and started a family.

The number of lives touched by Robin during her lifetime is incalculable. She shared her beaming smile with anyone she happened to pass by in the course of her day. Her infectious “Hi!” coupled with calling people “sweetheart” or “honey” made a gloomy day suddenly a brighter one. Her jovial nature meant she stopped to talk to strangers and pet dogs, all with joy in her voice. And we haven’t even gotten to how she impacted those she loved.

When it comes to her family and friends, one could only agree that Robin was slated for sainthood. She loved time with her family and friends, and she showed up happy to see everyone, prepared to just be present and listen to whatever anyone had to tell her. She dropped everything to help, making any request to her a personal urgency so that her family or friends could be comfortable and happy. Even when she wasn’t feeling well or down herself, she had some indescribable sense of moral purpose to elevate and fill the cups of others.

In a world of seemingly growing bitterness or even apathy, Robin was the last vestige of goodwill and benevolence. The way her family and friends see it, Robin didn’t pass away, but rather, she passed by the world, gracing it with a care and love we’ll likely not see again in our lifetimes. As old as the world and humankind is, we were lucky enough to be alive the same time as Robin Loomans.

Robin is survived by her husband, Kim A. Loomans; son, Ryan S. Winkel (Keeley); grandchildren, Piersen R. Winkel and Hawthorne W. Winkel; brother, Michael J. Teasdale (Melissa); uncle, Hugh Walter McGill; nieces, Meredith Teasdale and Madison Teasdale; nephew, James A. Teasdale; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James G. Teasdale and Margaret M. Teasdale; and first husband, Craig S. Winkel.

A memorial gathering for Robin will take place on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church in Waupun from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor her memory by making a donation to Hortonville Youth Sports or Hortonville Youth Wrestling. Few things brought her more joy than watching her family grow through youth sports. Your support will help create those same opportunities for other local families.
