Dr. Roger Martin Rose, age 90, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
He was born on May 7, 1936, and lived a life marked by dedication to his family, profession, country, and community. Roger grew up in Wautoma and later attended Marquette University, where he studied dentistry. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army before fulfilling a lifelong dream by opening his dental practice in Beaver Dam, where he cared for generations of patients with compassion and professionalism. Roger was an avid golfer and enjoyed many years of membership at Old Hickory CC. In retirement Roger became an avid painter and created several paintings that were framed and proudly displayed in their home.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Rose, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage and memories. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and family man who cherished time spent with those he loved most.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Opal and Kenneth Rose, and by his daughter, Linda.
Roger leaves behind his son, David Rose, and daughter-in-law, Justine Rose; his cherished grandchildren, Tori Rose, his daughter, Laura Rose-Wood, son-in-law, Dan Wood and their extended family along with grandchildren Elizabeth, and Jonathan.
Roger will be remembered for his kindness, steady presence, dedication to his patients, and the love he gave to his family throughout his life. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A private burial is being held in Florida. Arrangements are pending for a celebration of life in Beaver Dam.
