Ronald "Ron" A. Rux was called to his heavenly home peacefully Monday December 11th, 2023 at the age of 72, with his family by his side.

A memorial gathering for Ron will take place on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.  Inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens at a later date.

Ron was born on May 10th, 1951 in the town of Beaver Dam. He attended Lakeside Lutheran and Stevens Point College. Ron married Marilyn Burback October 15, 1978. The pair shared many beautiful years and had two wonderful children together. Although it was not permanent they did remain great friends.

Ron had many jobs including working on The Railroads, Green Giant, Bread Delivery, Bartender, Sheriff, and John Deere where he eventually retired after many hard working years and remained a loyal member of the Union and Local Lodge.

He started his retired years by adopting a feisty cat named Sparkle who ended up being his furry sidekick. He loved spending his time hitting every karaoke hotspot he could with his daughters and granddaughters. He loved to go out with family and friends for a good fish fry or even loved catching a packer game with his fellow packer fans. He also had a love for bowling and a good competitive game of cribbage.

Ron is survived by his ex-spouse Marilyn; daughters, Jennifer (Brian) Grebel, Debra Haase (Ed Schultz); granddaughters, Devin (Justin) Anthes, Taylor Grebel, Eryn Grebel and Alannis Schultz; great-grandsons, Levi, Asher, and Wyatt Anthes; sisters, Letty (Robert) Foster, Roberta (Wayne) Schneider; along with other nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Adalia Rux; biological father, Arthur Rux; step father, Robert Rux; and a cousin, Cindy Rux.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Bedrock Care facility, Larson House, Beaver Dam Dialysis Center, and Rainbow Hospice Care.
