Obituary

Ronald C Graff, age 91, of Fond du Lac and formerly from Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 29, 2023 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.

On Monday, June 12, 2023 at St. Katherine Drexel Church, 511 Spring Street, Beaver Dam, Ronald's family will meet family and friends for visitation from 12:30p.m. until 2:00 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will start at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Onildo Orellana Diaz as Celebrant.  Inurnment will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Beaver Dam. A luncheon will follow at Cornerstone Funeral and Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd, Beaver Dam.

Ronald was born May 3rd, 1932 in Beaver Dam to George and Verdella (nee Imerfall) Graff.

Ron was a past member and usher for many years at St Patrick's Parish, which is now St Katherine Drexel Parish. Most recently Ron was a member of Holy Family Parish in Fond du Lac.

Ron enjoyed employment at a variety of businesses; Weyenberg Shoe, Schmid's Car Wash, various grocery stores, City of Beaver Dam sewage treatment plant, and until his retirement in 1994, with Willow Foods (now Richelieu Foods), where he worked for 20 years.

After he retired, Ron's volunteerism shined. In moving to Berlin, he volunteered for Juliette Manor Nursing Home and Berlin Memorial Hospital. He served as a member of the Volunteer Council for 2 years and in 2001 Ron humbly received the Human Services Award from the Community Health Network. In 2001, a move to Wautoma, resulted in volunteering as a Pantry Assistant for the Waushara Community Food Pantry. Upon his return to Beaver Dam in 2005, he volunteered in various departments at Beaver Dam Community Hospital. In 2016 he moved in Fond du Lac, to live closer to a niece.

Ron enjoyed doing puzzles, watching the Packers play and listening to Brewer games. He was known for his sharp memory, quick wit, great sense of humor, kindness and generosity.

Survivors include twin brothers, John (Cleo) Graff, and James Graff, of Beaver Dam; 10 nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and nephews; 27 great-great nieces and nephews; and one great-great-great nephew, and further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was proceeded in death by his grandparents; parents; brother-in-law, Emil Schmid; sister-in-law, Ruth Graff; sister, Delores Schmid; nephews, Ronald and Thomas Schmid; niece, Jeanne Hotchkiss; and other relatives.
