Ronald Raith

Ronald Raith, 86, of Waupun, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the Barrett House in Ripon.

Ron was born August 6, 1936 in Antigo, WI the son of William and Berwyn Keen Raith. The family moved to the Markesan area where Ron graduated from Markesan High School in 1954. He served with the United States Army for two years. On September 18, 1965 he married Henrietta VanRuiswijk in Waupun where they resided most of their married lives. Ron was a heat and air conditioning technician, and was employed by Condon Oil, Sure Fire, Air Care, and Soodsma Heating and Air Conditioning. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting deer, rabbit, squirrels, pheasant, and turkey. He was a member of First Reformed Church where he served as elder and deacon and belonged to its XYZ bible study. Ron was also a past member of Waupun Kiwanis Club and a member of American Legion Post 210 in Waupun.

Ron is survived by his wife, Henrietta Raith of Waupun; children: Rhonda (Bryant) Smith of Ft. Wayne, IN, Randall (Jennifer) Raith of Princeton, and Timothy Raith of Eau Claire; eight grandchildren: Brandon Schrembs, Talia Smith, Canaan Smith, Avery Raith, Autumn Raith, Madilyn Raith, Bailey Raith, and Nora Raith; a great-grandchild, Lukas Large; and sisters: Joyce (Frank) Gnabasik of Romeo, MI, Carol (Greg) Schill of Arlington, WI, and Marilyn McMahon of Buckeye, AZ.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, William and Berwyn Raith.

Funeral services for Ronald Raith will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at First Reformed Church in Waupun with Rev. Barry Lang officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Tuesday at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun from 5-7 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. American Legion Post 210 will be providing military honors.
