Rosa was born on March 15, 1951 to Salomon and Aurelia Mejorado De Tristan in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She was united in marriage to Julian J. Rivera on May 23, 1970 in Nuevo Laredo, Mex. Rosa was very proud of her three children, including their educational pursuits and accomplishments. She took great pride in creating and managing entrepreneurial projects. She loved overseeing family functions and being sure things always went smoothly. Rosa never hesitated to help anyone out; was always extremely thoughtful, generous, and very humble during her life.

Rosa was a certified seamstress in both Mexico and the United States. Throughout her life she put her good taste in fashion and décor to good use by designing many of her own clothes and home décor. Rosa enjoyed cooking foods of many different ethnicities, especially healthy foods. She liked exercising regularly at the YMCA and playing cards with her friends. She was active at Gilda's House in Middleton, WI and attended services at St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam.

Rosa is survived by her husband, Julian of Beaver Dam; her children, Norma of Madison, Jerry (Jennifer) of Ixonia and Rolando (Wendy) of Milwaukee; her grandchildren, Caitlin, Sophie and Isabella; her parents, Salomon and Aurelia Mejorado of Laredo, TX; her brothers, Salomon (Rosa) Mejorado, Jr. of Laredo, TX and Enrique (Mirna) Mejorado, McAllen, TX. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, many relatives and friends.

Rosa was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, her father and mother-in-law, and other relatives.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Rosa will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 511 S. Spring Street, Beaver Dam with Father P. Selvin Garcia Interiano as celebrant. Visitation will take place prior to the Mass beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the church.
