Rosemary Ann Ebert, age 88 of Markesan, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Whispering Pines in Ripon.
Rosemary was born on February 13, 1938, in Mackford Prairie, to John and Ella (Prell) Long. She graduated from Markesan High School with the Class of 1956.
On July 18, 1959, she was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Ebert at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Marquette. She worked for Schroeder Motor in Markesan, Fischer Motors in North Dakota, for the Dr. Bahra and Bitmer Office in Ripon. She then worked on the farm with Dick for the remainder of her working years. In her free time, she enjoyed playing the organ and piano.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, Richard "Dick" Ebert; her sisters-in-law, Sharon Long, Doris Kok, Karen Kienast, and Grace Ebert; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Rheiney and Ida Ebert; her brother, Kenneth Long; her brothers-in-law, Darwin Ebert and Jim Ebert; and her sister-in-law, Donna Marwitz; and other relatives.
Visitation for Rosemary will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Marquette from 9:00 a.m until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeffrey Drake officiating. Burial will take place at Grand View Cemetery in Marquette.
