Roy R. Johnson, age 81 of Iron Ridge, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at home.

Roy was born on June 29, 1936 and raised in the Milwaukee area, the son of Arthur and Louise (Kindness) Johnson. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines. On December 17, 1960 he was united in marriage to Carol Wolff. Roy worked for Acme Systems for 33 years. After retirement, Roy and Carol lived in New Mexico for 13 years. He enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes, showing his little red truck at car shows and loved his dog Kaycee.

Roy is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol Johnson of Iron Ridge; children, Robert Johnson of Iron Ridge, Connie (Jeff) Wester of Grand Marsh, Deborah (Les) Lipke of Florida, Penny Duenkel of Kewaskum, Danny (Jodi) Johnson of Horicon and Ricky Johnson of Iron Ridge; 19 grandkids; 25 great-grandkids; dog Kaycee and other relatives.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Carol's parents and three sisters.

A memorial service with military honors for Roy will be held at a later date.
