Russell Edwin Cluppert, age 87 of the township of Marquette, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac after an illness and hip fracture.

Visitation for Russell will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 266 Sherman Ave., Marquette from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Michael Plagenz officiating. Burial will take place at Grand View Cemetery in Marquette.

Russell was born on October 18, 1930 at home, the son of Fred and Hulda (Meilahn) Cluppert. He attended Marquette Grade School and worked for a masonry contractor for a number of years. Later, he took over the family farm. Russell liked hunting with his friends, fishing and gambling at a number of casinos.

Russell is survived by three siblings, Marvin (Ruth) Cluppert of Fairwater, Evelyn Schmidt of Marquette and Wilbert (Susan) Cluppert of Fond du Lac; sister-in-law, Grace Cluppert of Fairwater; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Emery (Twila), Herbert and Arthur (Muriel); brother-in-law, LeRoy Schmidt; and other relatives.
