Ruth H. Grams, age 93 of Markesan, passed away peacefully and entered eternal peace on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.

Visitation for Ruth will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 65 W. Catherine St., Markesan with Rev. Jason Jobs officiating. Burial will follow at Fairwater Cemetery.

Ruth was born on August 7, 1922 in Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of August and Lydia (Arndt) Teske. She married Rev. Robert Weinbender on July 11, 1951. They had three children. Rev. Robert passed away on June 5, 1965. On October 25, 1975, Ruth married Wendell Grams.

Ruth was an outgoing and loving person who enjoyed meeting and talking with people. She enjoyed doing many jobs for the parishes that she and Rev. Robert served. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, reading the Bible and sharing God's Word. She continued to do this throughout her life. Her favorite type of music was classical. She would play the music at the loudest volume possible. She always loved spending time with her children, her husband and grandchildren. Ruth and Wendell were able to visit relatives in Canada several times and Ruth made six trips to Hawaii to visit her daughters.

Ruth is survived by her beloved husband of over 40 years, Wendell; her loving daughters, Ruth (Michael) Okumura of Olinda, HI and Robin Samonte of Wailuku, HI; daughter-in-law, Terry Weinbender of Greenville, SC; step-daughter, Cheryl Grams of Neenah; grandchildren, Lisa (Weinbender) Cheramie of NC, Eric Weinbender of SC and Gretchen Samonte of HI; sisters, Gladys Joyce and Eilene Dundee of Canada; two sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; her son, Rex Robert of SC (2014); her son-in-law, Ben Samonte of HI (2010); her step-daughter, Linda Grams of Neenah (2002); two sisters-in-law and 12 brothers-in-law.
