Ruth L. Weber, age 88 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

Ruth was born on September 29, 1923 in Solon Springs, WI to Melvin and Selma (Larson) Danielson. She was the Valedictorian of her 1942 graduating class from Solon Springs High School. On August 23, 1944, Ruth was united in marriage to Alfred J. Weber and they enjoyed 64 years together before Alfred passed away in 2008. For 25 years, Ruth and Al owned and operated Bay Marina in Beaver Dam. Ruth enjoyed seeing new sights, going to rummage sales and collecting rocks with her granddaughter. She was a wonderful friend, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by many.

Ruth is survived by her son, Brad Weber of Oconomowoc and his former wife Sharon; two grandchildren, Aaron Muhle and Megan Weber of Juneau; her brother, Glenn Danielson of Virginia Beach, VA; and four sisters, Lorraine Anderson of Machesney Park, IL, Gladys Erickson of Tacoma, WA, Doris (Don) Herbert of Rockford, IL and Myrt Smith of Superior, WI.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alfred and her brother, Cliff.

A Memorial Gathering for Ruth will take place on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam. Inurnment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Solon Springs, WI at a later date.

The family would like to thank Dr. Sharon Haase, the Third Floor Nursing Staff of Beaver Dam Community Hospital and staff of Hillside Manor for their loving care shown to Ruth.
