IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sandra L.
Wepner
July 4, 1947 – March 22, 2022
When we hear the song Rockin' Robin, only one lovely lady comes to mind. Sandy Wepner (Walker) was born on the 4 th of July in the year 1947 in Green Lake, WI. She passed away on March 22, 2022, surrounded by loved ones.
Sandy was the first born to Albert F. Walker III and Lucy L. Walker (Laughlin) of Green Lake, WI. She had a great sense of pride for her Green Lake upbringing and life on the lake. Whether it was a boat ride, or simply a drive by the lake to take in the views, it filled her heart with many fond memories. She loved her heritage and could tell you about her family tree branches further back than you could wrap your head around!
She moved to Ripon where she raised her family and then started a career as a very proud CNA. She loved crafting, sewing, 50's & 60's music, was an avid reader, loved to laugh and share stories, and was the most caring and selfless person. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends, most of all her children and granddaughters. To her children, she passed along strong family values and unconditional love - values that will be cherished always. She also passed along her amazing recipes for her chocolate chip cookies, deviled eggs, and banana bread!
Sandy is reunited with her beloved parents, Albert and Lucy Walker, her favorite cousins Sally and Bill Laughlin (of Paris, IL), and some other very special souls she held so dear to her heart.
Her spirit is carried on by her 3 children, Andrea Wepner of Wauwatosa, Doug Wepner of Green Lake, and Sarah Helmick of Roscoe, IL, her 2 granddaughters Lucy and Juno Helmick of Roscoe, IL, her brother Albert F. Walker VI (Elizabeth) of Green Lake, her nephews JR Walker (Jenna), Charlie Walker (Lauren), her great niece and nephews Clare, Albert VI, Raymond, and Freddie of Green Lake, former-spouse, father to her children, and friend, Tom Wepner (Fond du Lac), and many cousins, extended family, and dear friends, whom she loved very much.
Special thank you to the caregivers at Prairie Place Assisted Living of Ripon and Markesan Resident Home in Markesan, for their care, patience, understanding, and for being true sparks of joy in her life. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Also, thank you to Fond du Lac County Hospice for their kindness and tender care.
A celebration of life will be held at the American Legion Post 306, 518 Water Street, Green Lake, WI 54941 on Saturday, 4/16/22 from 11:00am – 4:00pm.
