Sandra Lang, 79, of Slinger, WI, formerly of Waupun, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026 at Froedtert Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls, WI.
Sandy was born June 16, 1947 in Waupun, the daughter of Chester and Marcella Prust Mecklenberg. Sandy attended Waupun schools, graduating from Waupun High School in 1965. Following high school she was employed at National Rivet and Manufacturing where she retired after 45 years of employment.
On April 24, 1981 Sandy married Paul Lang and the couple resided in Waupun, North Fond du Lac, and Slinger, WI. Sandy enjoyed watching and attending Badger Football games, vacationing at St. Augustine Beach, FL, and shopping with her daughter, Stephanie. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Sandy was an active member of the catholic churches where they lived.
Following retirement, she would help Stephanie in her 4-year-old Kindergarten classroom at St. Agnes School in Butler, WI where she enjoyed working with the students as much as they enjoyed working with her.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Paul Lang; daughter, Stephanie (Travis) Larson ; and her grand dog, Zoey all three from Mount Pleasant, WI.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers: Donald, Gerald, and Warren Mecklenberg.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 11am at Werner Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Saturday at the funeral home from 9 am until 11am time of service. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens in the Town of Trenton.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that any memorial donations be made in Sandra’s memory to The Parkinson’s Foundation at Parkinson's Foundation
Though she is no longer with us in person, Sandra’s love will remain in our hearts forever. Her kindness, gentle spirit, and the memories she created with those she loved will continue to be a source of comfort and strength for all who knew her.
