Sharen Marie (Welk) Roets, was born to eternal life, Friday June 17th, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.

Sharen was born October 10, 1940 in Waupun WI, the daughter of Walter and Gertrude (Hodgins) Welk. She and surviving husband Raymond John Roets were married August 17, 1957. They resided in Waupun WI where they raised their family for the past 58 years. Surviving children are Daniel Roets (Clarissa), John Roets (Diane), Patrick Roets, and Renee Hickmann (Matthew). Proceeding her death was her son Raymond, a sister Pam Bailey, and her parents Walter and Gertrude Welk. Surviving Grandchildren include Heather Skinner (Ian), Nichole Buwalda (Mike), Tessa Alsum (Tyson), and Karmyn Nummerdor. Surviving Great-Grandchildren include, Cora and Aiden Skinner, Jared and Blake Buwalda, and Jude Nummerdor. Surviving Sharen are her sisters, Karen Anderson, Kathy Welk, and one brother Walter Welk.

Sharen’s diverse life consisted of raising her 5 children, assisting her husband Raymond in running The Roets Home Dairy, and eventually opening her own local business, Back Home Salon in 1985.

In her spare time she was an avid antique collector, a horticulturist, and an independent artist. Her creativity for artwork of numerous kinds was enjoyed by people everywhere. Her husband and longtime partner participated and supported all her hobbies. Together they traveled annually to Mexico for the past 30 years, making numerous new friends from around the Globe.

Sharen will be sadly missed, wife, mother, grand-mother, great grandmother, sister, and a dear friend to many.

Funeral services will be private.
