Sharolyn Hofman

Sharolyn Hofman, age 52 of Waupun, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at her home.

Sharolyn was born on October 3, 1973, to James and Sharon (Westhuis) Groy. She graduated from Waupun High School in 1992 and went on to attend Michigan Bible College to study theology, before transferring to Madison to start her career as a chef. She then returned to Waupun, where she worked as a cook at the Chit Chat. She also worked at Angie V's and several other local establishments.

On September 20, 2008, she was united in marriage to her husband, Jay Hofman. Sharolyn took care of every detail of their wedding, including preparing all of the food.

Sharolyn loved collecting craft supplies and enjoyed creating diamond art. She was very crafty and had a talent for planning events and parties. She also enjoyed arranging flowers and making bouquets.

She is survived by her husband, Jay Hofman; her cats, Jadzia and Curzon; two sisters, Denee (Jeff) Kohlemainen and Jody (Korbin Putzer) Turnes; her father- and mother-in-law, Bob and Gale Hofman; brothers-in-law, Joel (Theresa) Hofman and Chad "Gumball" Hofman; sisters-in-law, Dorthy (Aric) Williams and Bethany (Jack) Wager-Smith; and further survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her cats, Stripers and Luna; her brother-in-law, John Turnes; and other relatives.

Services for Sharolyn will be held at a later date.
