Sharon E. Kuhfuss, 61, of Markesan, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on December 14, 2016 at her home.

Sharon was born October 24, 1955 in Sheboygan, to Gerhardt and Ruth Paul Bender. Sharon was a graduate of Howards Grove High School. On November 17, 1973 she married Billy Kuhfuss at Immanuel United Church of Christ. After marriage they started a family and began farming. In 1986 they moved to Markesan and started the family farm. Sharon found love in her family, cooking and canning for her family, and her chickens. She had a great desire for children to learn about Jesus. She was an active member of Living Hope Community Church in Fox Lake. Sharon was also employed at Higher Grounds Coffee Shop in Beaver Dam.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 43 years, Bill Kuhfuss; two sons: Daniel (Sara) Kuhfuss of Markesan and their children, Hazel, Lily, Asa, and Henry, and Patrick (Kelly) Kuhfuss of Waupun and their children, Alicia, Ayden, Madalyn, and Morgan; her father, Gerhardt Bender of Plymouth; a sister, Darlene (Jerry) Lefeber of Dotyville; a brother, Jeffrey (Mary) Bender of Plymouth; Bill’s three brothers and their families; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Bender.



Friends and relatives may call on the family on Sunday at the funeral home from 1-4 p.m.



Funeral services for Sharon E. Kuhfuss will be held Sunday, December 18, 2016 at 4 p.m. at Werner Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. Elliott Pollasch and Rev. Mike Giebink officiating.
