S helly Mae Ascherien, age 52 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer.

Visitation for Shelly will take place on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, 300 West St., from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Town of Trenton.

Shelly was born on February 26, 1971, the daughter of Eugene and Sharon (Duessler) Ascherien. She attended St. Stephen's Lutheran School and graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1989. She was employed at "Kids Care" in Beaver Dam for 30 years and truly loved her "Kids Care" kids. Going to the races, especially to watch her brother and nephew race, was something she enjoyed.

She will be deeply missed by  her mother, Sharon Ascherien; sister, Jodi (Dan) Johnson; brother, Todd (Shelly) Ascherien; nephews, Cody (Kayla) Bobholz, Brandon Bobholz, Justin (Aubrie) Bobholz, and Brady Ascherien; 2 great-nephews, Carter and Parker;and further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Ascherien; her grandparents; and other relatives.
