Sheryl Rechek

Sheryl Rechek, 69, of Waupun, passed away on October 30, 2026 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

Sheryl was born on June 5, 1957 in Waupun, the daughter of Gordon and Junice (Navis) Smits. Sheryl dedicated 43 years to Mayville Metal Products, where her commitment and hard work reflected her strong work ethic.

In her free time, Sheryl enjoyed camping and shopping. She especially loved baking for her family, sharing her love through homemade treats. She also found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, including watching Chuck Norris in her favorite television show, Walker, Texas Ranger.

Sheryl is survived by her three sons, Jim (Laurie) Rechek, Jason Rechek, and Adam (Brooke) Rechek. She is further survived by her sister, Darlene Westphal; sister-in-law, Kathleen Smits; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Junice Smits; and her brothers, Robert Smits and Jerry Smits.

Sheryl will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her family and friends. Though she is gone from our sight, she will always be in our hearts.

In honoring Sheryl's wishes, private services will be held.
