Shirley Roeder

Shirley Roeder, just shy of her 90th birthday, rejoiced and went to her heavenly home on July 3, 2025, with family by her side.

Shirley was born July 8, 1935 in Oshkosh, WI the daughter of Edward and Marie Duescher Schroeder. Shirley attended Oshkosh Schools, graduating from Oshkosh High School. On July 14, 1956 she married Gordon Roeder in Oshkosh. The couple resided in Waupun most of their married lives. Shirley was employed by McGregors in Waupun for several years where sewing was her expertise. She and Gordy were members of Rock River Country Club where they enjoyed golfing together over 20 years. Shirley was a very avid bowler not only bowling in leagues but also in many tournaments. She was a baker at Tom Dooleys for 10 years. Shirley was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waupun.

Shirley is survived by her children: Jerry (Wendy) Roeder of Green Lake, Dawn (Ed) Mueller of Waupun, James Roeder of Waupun, and Daniel (Carla) Roeder of Waupun; 12 grandchildren: Andrea (John) Mashack, Chad (Kassi) Roeder, Amanda (Anthony) Naparala, Cortnie (Steve) Hoekstra, Carrie (Mike) Perry, Cody (Katie) Mueller, Jessica Roeder, Corey Roeder, Justice (Trevor) Timblin, Sage Roeder, Maryah Roeder, and Ty Roeder; 18 great-grandchildren with one on the way; two brothers: John (Bonnie) Schroeder of Oshkosh and Bob (Coleen) Schroeder of Oshkosh.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordy, three brothers; and eight sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Pastor Jeff Nicla officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Garden in the town of Trenton. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
