Si J. Klein, age 69, of Oshkosh and formerly of Beaver Dam, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 20, 2009. He was born on August 31, 1939 in Eureka, South Dakota to Benjamin J. and Pauline (nee Zimmer) Klein. He was united in marriage to Kathleen (nee Budich) at Hales Corners Lutheran Church. He worked for many years in the automotive industry. After the death of his wife Kathleen, he found new companionship with Doris (nee Ruhland) and they were later married.

During Si's life, he thoroughly enjoyed traveling, all sports and spending time with his family. He will always be remembered for being kind hearted, having a wonderful sense of humor and personality, and for telling jokes. Si will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Doris of Oshkosh; three children, Mark (Dawn) Klein of Beaver Dam, Kim (Mike) Weber of Reeseville and Gary (Pat) Klein of Beaver Dam; grandchildren, Amy Klein, Austin and Cole Weber; step-children, Duane Ruhland of Neshkoro, Catherine (Bruce) Taylor of Oak Creek and Claire (Steve) Whitted of Wind Lake; step-grandchildren, Stephany Whitted, Brittany (Jehanlin) Anananandan, Brannon Taylor, Ashley Whitted and Jacob Whitted; two brothers, Frank (Dorothy) Klein of Elkhorn and Neal (Diane) Klein of Reeseville. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Kathleen in 2004 and two sisters, Shirley Hogue and Bernice Howard.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Klein will be on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam with Fr. John Schreiter officiating. A Memorial Gathering will also be held at the Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of Service at 7:00 p.m. A luncheon will follow the Service at the Funeral Home. Inurment will take place at a later date.
